What makes the Sky Suites unique compared to traditional outback accommodation?

Our Sky Suites are a true departure from the traditional station stay! Perched over nine metres in the air, these suites provide an elevated vantage point that captures the immense scale of the outback landscape, stretching from the dusty red horizon to the endless paddocks below. It is a sophisticated, “birds-eye” sanctuary designed for those who want to experience the raw beauty of the land from a completely different level of luxury.

The rooms seem quite intimate; will I have enough space?

Our Sky Suites are cleverly designed within the footprint of a 20ft shipping container, so whilst the bedroom area is cozy it packs a punch on all the essentials. To make the most of the space, our luxurious king beds fill the width of the room. If you prefer a bit more room to move or easier access to the ensuite, we recommend requesting a twin-single setup or The Lorries Two bedroom unit. It’s all about creating a snug, high-end “nest” from which to watch the outback world go by.

Can we bring the whole family to stay in the Sky Suites?

The Sky Suites are ideal for couples, multigenerational families or groups of friends, with each room having a maximum occupancy of two guests. We absolutely love hosting families (and have a 7 year old ourselves!) but please note that for safety and the comfort of all guests, children under eight years must share a room with an adult. For larger families or those with younger children, you might find our new family-friendly accommodation, ‘The Lorries’, a perfect fit for your outback adventure! A farm stay certainly is the perfect stay for the whole family with plenty of space to adventure!

What is the difference between a farm stay, a station stay, and an outback resort?

While a farm stay is usually based on a smaller scale property, a traditional station stay offers a first hand glimpse into life on a working broadacre property. And to top it off, a stay in our Sky Suites is more akin to an exclusive outback resort experience! We combine the 150-year heritage of a 28,500-acre Merino sheep station with the refined amenities you’d expect at a high-end retreat, think heated mineral pool, farm-to-table rustic fine dining, and elevated, architecturally unique suites. It’s about more than just seeing the outback; it’s about immersing yourself in the “slow-sip” luxury of station life with the service and polish of a private outback resort.
